I finally got round to doing my first How To video tutorial and what a perfect opportunity – Halloween! I decided to pull a last minute Corpse Bride esque costume together, mainly because there’s so many different ways to go down with the makeup and face paint!
So, I set my laptop up, gathered as many lamps from around the flat as I could find, and hey presto, my own little studio!
What you need to transform yourself:
· White face paint (thick enough to give good coverage – I used Diamond FX)
· Medium and dark purple eye shadow
· Black eye shadow
· Bright red lipstick
· Black face paint
· A think brush
· A medium eye shadow brush
· Thick blending brush
· Glitter (iridescent and black)
· Body glue (for the glitter)
· Eye brow pencil
Anyway, below you can watch my very first How To Halloween tutorial – I hope you enjoy it! Please have a go, and feel free to send me your master pieces to firstname.lastname@example.org
The quality isn't great - next time I'll use my camera and better lighting, but I'm pretty happy with it for a first attempt!

We were recently asked to help put together a 'How To' guide for Halloween faces, by the lovely Gaynor from www.mumsintheknow.co.uk.
This morning, my bicycle and I boarded the 9.04 train to Cheadle Hulme to meet Gaynor. Three children were asked (bribed?) to come along and lend their faces for the morning. So, we decided on: Frankenstein, a skeleton, a pumpkin and a web style design. All the children were great, very patient, and the final products looked wonderful, and a little scary - particularly Frankenstein!
We tried to find four designs which you Mums and Dads could easily replicate at home., so there's no excuse! We filmed and took photos at each stage - which will go along side a step by step guide.
All four guides will appear on www.mumsintheknow.co.uk, so watch this space!
Thanks for a lovely morning :)
